Role: Vehicle Technician Level 3
Location: BCA Southampton, Solent Gateway, Marchwood
Shift: Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Salary: £20 per hour / £41,714.00 per annum based on 40 hours

Main purpose of the role:
We’re looking for a skilled and hands-on Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join our team at the brand-new BCA Southampton (Marchwood) site. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly launched operation focused on preparing newly imported vehicles for the UK market.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for initial vehicle preparation, including PDI inspections, accessory fitting, warranty repairs, and software updates across a wide range of modern vehicles. You’ll ensure each vehicle meets the required standards before it moves on to its next stage.
If you’re an experienced Level 3 Technician with a strong methodical approach, and confidence working across mechanical, electrical, and software-based systems, this role offers the chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced, high quality technical environment.
Our recruitment process is designed to give you a clear understanding of the role, the workshop setup, and the technical expectations. It will include an interview with a site tour and a practical skills assessment aligned with Level 3 technician competencies.
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete PDI inspections, accessory installations, warranty repairs, and software updates on newly imported vehicles.
- Carry out warranty repairs in line with approved manufacturer methods.
- Work productively to ensure all tasks are completed within required timeframes, prioritising work to maximise efficiency.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and ensure documentation is completed accurately and consistently.
- Maintain high workshop standards and support the wider team as required.
- Undertake any additional duties as requested by your manager.
Personal Requirements:
- IMI Level 3 mechanical qualification or equivalent.
- Broad understanding of modern vehicle systems, including mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic processes.
- Experience mentoring or supporting other technicians is desirable.
- Methodical, detail‑driven approach with strong teamwork, calm problem‑solving, and a commitment to quality.
- Full UK driving licence with a minimum of 2 years’ experience driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
