  • Master Vehicle Technician Level 4 (Jaguar Land Rover)
    Location: BCA Livingston
    Shift: Monday to Friday 8am - 5:30pm
    Salary: £22 per hour (up to £51,621.00 basic salary based on 45 working hours per week)

    Main purpose of the role:

    We’re looking for a highly skilled and handson JLRaccredited Master Vehicle Technician to join our team at BCA Livingston. This is a specialist technical role where youll apply your advanced diagnostic capability, highvoltage expertise, and deep understanding of Jaguar Land Rover systems to ensure every vehicle is assessed, repaired, and validated to the highest manufacturer standards.

    If you’re an experienced Level 4 Master Technician with JLR Master Technician certification, strong proficiency in TOPIx and other JLR diagnostic platforms, and the ability to lead by example on complex mechanical, electrical, and EV/hybrid systems, this role gives you the opportunity to make a real impact in a fastpaced environment.

It will include a formal interview and a practical skills assessment to demonstrate your diagnostic capability and JLRspecific expertise. A site tour will also be provided so you can see the working environment firsthand.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and software faults using JLRapproved systems such as TOPIx
    • Carry out advanced mechanical, electrical, and EV/Hybrid highvoltage repairs (where qualified)
    • Perform module programming, coding, and system updates to JLR standards, validating and signing off all work to Master Technician level
    • Follow JLR repair methods, technical bulletins, and safety procedures while maintaining accurate diagnostic and repair documentation
    • Manage diagnostic workflow, prioritising repairs efficiently and advising on nonviable or uneconomical work
    • Act as the technical escalation point for complex faults, mentoring Level 2–3 Technicians and supporting continuous improvement
    • Support project-based technical tasks, audits, workshop improvements, and EV/Hybrid safety processes as a qualified highvoltage operator

    Personal Requirements:

    • JLR Master Technician certification (or equivalent OEM Master accreditation) with strong diagnostic and repair experience across CANbus, advanced electronics, and hybrid/EV systems
    • Proven ability in structured fault‑finding, resolving complex technical issues, and communicating technical information clearly
    • High‑voltage EV/Hybrid certification (L3–L4) and experience using JLR diagnostic platforms such as TOPIx (preferred)
    • Background in mentoring or supporting other technicians and familiarity with premium‑brand standards
    • Methodical, detail‑driven approach with strong teamwork, calm problem‑solving, and commitment to ongoing development aligned with JLR pathways
    • Full UK Driving Licence with minimum 2 years of driving experience both manual and automatic cars.
