Typically operating at end of vehicle contract BCA Logistics inspects & collects in excess of 600, 000 vehicles per annum making it the largest provider of these services within the sector with further growth planned.

Main purpose of job:
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Hub operative to join our busy vehicle logistics operation. This is a varied position combining both office administration and yard-based responsibilities, playing a key role in ensuring vehicles, drivers, systems, and site operations run efficiently and safely.
The successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle tracking, stock control, driver support, key management, compliance administration, and maintaining accurate records across multiple operational systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Book vehicles in and out of operational systems in real time.
- Maintain accurate vehicle stock records and provide daily stock reports.
- Support vehicle movement planning and coordinate with planners regarding any operational changes.
- Ensure all vehicles are accounted for, secured, and moved within agreed timescales.
- Manage the safe custody, distribution, and auditing of vehicle keys, trade plates, and fuel cards.
- Liaise with drivers, planners, administration teams, and non-conformance departments regarding vehicle movements, breakdowns, accidents, and operational issues.
- Assist with vehicle yard operations and daily hub activities.
- Monitor and maintain site security, including locking and securing the hub outside operational hours.
- Ensure all company equipment is used appropriately and reported if defective.
- Promote and maintain health and safety standards across the site.
- Support driver compliance by reporting any concerns relating to conduct or operational performance.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an administration, logistics, transport, fleet, or operational environment.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple teams.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling records and reporting.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to support operational requirements when needed.
Desirable Experience
- Vehicle logistics or automotive industry experience.
- Experience using vehicle management systems.
- Knowledge of transport operations and vehicle movements.
- Understanding of fleet administration and compliance processes.
