We have an exciting new opportunity for a Cosmetic Vehicle Technician (Team Leader) to join our team at BCA Manchester. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting our body shop teams, ensuring smooth daily operations and high standards of quality.
You will oversee a team of body shop technicians, providing guidance, motivation, and support to meet production targets and KPIs. This role involves hands-on leadership, ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained across the team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the team of bodyshop technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.
- Coordinate daily workloads, monitor progress, and address any issues to meet operational targets.
- Provide on-the-job guidance, training, and mentoring to develop team skills and performance.
- Manage team communications, conduct briefings, and promote a positive work environment.
- Support your line manager with HR functions such as managing staff absences, holiday and performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Assist with reporting and record-keeping for operational performance and team activities.
Personal Requirements:
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience (minimum 3 years) within a body shop environment or similar industry.
- Extensive experience within a body shop role (minimum 5 years).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
